Father’s Day Parent-time

Father’s Day Parent-time

Divorced and separated fathers are entitled to parent-time on Father’s Day from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. under the standard holiday schedule for children ages 3 and up (if your child is under 3 years old then special rules may apply).  Father’s Day parent-time trumps regular weekend parent-time. However, if you are following the expanded holiday schedule in Utah Code 30-3-35.1 then dad gets to keep the child until 8 a.m. the next morning (or, if the child has school on Monday, to school).

Be aware some custody decrees do not follow the standard schedule in the Utah Code, especially if one of the parents lives out-of-state. If your order contains different rules for Father’s Day then you should follow what is in your own order.

Are you getting the parent-time you deserve? If not, give the smart, experienced attorneys at Wiser and Wiser Family Law a call to make sure your co-parent follows your schedule. We can be reached at 855-254-2600.
