Coronavirus and Utah Family Court
Throughout the State of Utah, state and local governments and business are doing their part to limit the spread of this new Cornoavirus (also known as COVID-19). For the next several weeks many Utah family courts are postponing court hearings or converting them to telephone conferences whenever possible. If you have a court date scheduled within the next several weeks, please check with us or the courts to see if your hearing has been postponed.
We understand that family legal problems do not go away during a crisis. We remain open and available to help our clients with their legal challenges during this difficult time. Thankfully thus far Utah has been spared the brunt of the negative effects of this terrible virus. That being said, we want to do everything we can on our end to keep it that way to keep our clients and their families safe. We are equipped to work remotely so we can serve you from anywhere you or us might be.
We understand that you may be nervous about coming to our office or the courthouse when you or others might be sick and do not want this disease to spread. We are pleased to offer consultations and client meetings via telephone, Skype, and other similar services whenever possible. We also ensure our offices are regularly professionally cleaned.
We likewise understand clients will continue to experience emergency legal problems during this time such as needing protection from domestic violence, parents making decisions that endanger a child’s safety, or any number of other problems. The Courts remain open and available to deal with emergencies as they may arise.
We look forward to continuing to serve your legal needs during these challenging times. To arrange a telephone or Skype consultation with us, please give us a call at 855-254-2600 or email us at wiserlaw@gmail.com
